About CHRISTINA THEISEN

Christina Theisen was born in 1981 and raised amidst the enchanting forests of Hunsrück, where she found herself deeply drawn to the profound teachings and inspiration presented by nature.

Early Beginnings

From the early age of 5, Christina delved into the world of movement, immersing herself in practices like Tae Kwon Do, group dance, and tennis. These experiences, coupled with countless hours exploring the depths of nature in play, laid the foundation for her holistic journey.

Diverse Skill Set

With a diverse skill set spanning multiple disciplines, including embodiment and healing arts, martial arts, movement, photography, and facilitation, Christina's journey is one of holistic exploration, curiosity, and discovery.

Core Beliefs

Life, she came to realize, is a beautifully messy and mysteriously intricate journey. Each breath is a precious gift. For Christina, to rest and relate, to receive and remember, are key anchors to the inherent magic woven into the fabric of being. She believes in the power of love to render the impossible attainable, with change standing as the sole constant, and truth residing deep within the roots of existence.

Connection to Nature

Despite her ventures into bustling metropolises like London, Amsterdam, and Berlin, Christina's heart remains tethered to the serene embrace of the woods. While big cities may magnetize her, it is amidst nature's splendor that she discovers true freedom, safety, and profound peace. For her, life finds its purest expression in the playful chaos of the forest, where every moment is alive with possibility.

Exploration and Research

At the core of Christina's journey lies the quintessential question of what it means to be human. Guided by her unwavering premise that feeling is healing, that the body serves as an unfailing messenger, and that trusting the senses is paramount, she embarked on a journey into the realms of movement and healing arts.

Evolution as a Practitioner

From her early immersion in martial arts to the lifelong practice of dance - for pleasure and personal inquiry - Christina's evolution as a practitioner unfolded organically. Following her graduation as a physical therapist, she intentionally delved deeper into the realms of healing and movement as art forms. It was her relocation to London that sparked her enduring love affair with Contact Improvisation, a discipline she has since wholeheartedly embraced.

Christina's commitment to her craft is evident through her extensive training. She is certified in:
