About CHRISTINA THEISEN

Christina is passionate about empowering people to heal themselves and our planet.

She was born in 1981 and was a very sensitive, kind, and dreamy child, raised close to the vivid forest of Hunsrück, which taught and inspired her more than she could ever wish for.

Such as….life is a messy and mysterious place.

Be awaking in Love frees the impossible.

Change is truly the only constant.

Truth lies at the roots.

Breath is a gift.

A life in London for 12 important years, a year in Amsterdam, Christina has been living in Berlin for now 7 years.

Big cities apparently attract her like magnets. Her home remains however in the woods, where nature touches and moves. She finds freedom, safety and deep peace in the forest. Where life is at play, messy and alive.

What does it mean to be human?

That remains her enquire, her research..

Christina’s premise is,

that feeling the feeling is healing,
that the body never lies and
that it makes sense to trust the senses.

She started her journey as a practitioner in the field of movement and healing arts. This began as a martial arts practice at the age of 5. Subsequently she discovered dance as a practice – a discovery that continues to this day. 20 years later, after graduating as a physical therapist, she intentionally entered into professional healing and movement as an art. Christina’s move to London inspired her to discover the form of Contact Improvisation, to which she has ever since devoted herself. Her curiosity for embodied presence and play led her to clowning and Authentic Movement. With a desire to support parent and child growth in particular, Christina creates spaces to practice healthy ways of embodiment, movement, relationship and being.

„Only through my heart can I experience wholeness“

She can t get enough of exploring the nature of evolution through the body’s genius – via movement, presence, touch and play. In essence, being in relationship with our whole as sentient beings with awareness to both the external and internal forces that move us. Her approach to movement and embodiment is informed by nature and relationship to elemental being. Growing up near the forests of Hunsrück deeply inspired her to guard and nurture her inherent trust and body connection.

„I am letting in beauty, even while I am suffering.“

“Chi Ni Tsang’s power lies in working from the center toward the outside by focusing on the abdomen and the naval area. Bringing awareness to the internal organs of the body through touch and breath.”

It’s my pleasure to be here for you, to support your healing. I believe when you are ready to show up for your life, or a particular situation , which can be a healing crisis, whether manifested physically, emotionally, or spiritually, Chi Nei Tsang can bring healing from within and support you to step into the change you wish to see in your life. You will learn to trust into the power of self-healing. I am happy to connect you to your natural resources and share with you a self practice to apply at home. So you can enjoy life more.

I am a trained physiotherapist since 2002, with further education in a healing modality called Tao Touch® trained with the Chi Nei Tsang Institute California. I offer 1 on 1 treatments in my practice, as well as children with parents are welcome. CNT is a holistic modality, i am working with you as a wholesome human through contact, and deep listening touch with your abdomen physically and energetically. More about my practice here.

As a CONTAKIDS teacher I discovered this method through my continuous exploring personal practice in Contact Improvisation with the floor and others. Itay Yatuv and his Contakids school came my way to help me learn a concept and a system that is much aligned with my way to teach movement and play, which i now passionately share in various studios in Berlin and places else. It’s my wish to support the growth of healthy humane relationships between children and parents. I enjoy to support their healthy cultivation of body awareness, mutual respect, trust and confidence, so all can be in healthy relation as responsible human beings. I feel it’s a great practice to be well equipped for life now.

My third passion is MOON MOMENTS, supporting young people who identify as women in their transition time from being a girl to be a woman. I hold monthly gatherings where we connect, share and nourish. This period in life is an essential transition time to cultivate confidence in body and self, empowerment, leadership, sensuality in relation to life and being. No taboos. Together we learn the enjoyment in seeking support and sharing nourishment with other young “women”.  Topics we invite into the space are trust, body celebration, responsibility, women wisdom, sexuality and interconnectedness.
